CASE STUDIES-ARCHITOURISM
The current archive project, CASE STUDIES-ARCHITOURISM, traverses modern versions of cultural travel, webs of architectural histories, ramifications of tourism on sites, issues in preservation, UNESCO World Heritage Site designations + now the implications for the future of these pursuits in light of the continuing worldwide pandemic.
The future website will take the the form of an international travel journal/archive of encounters with architecture - archaic-modern, vernacular-extraordinary + the connections between place + influences.
The 2020 doc/video NEW YORK PAUSE… + the 2021 doc/video RECONSIDERING ARCHITOURISM, elements of the project, are responses to different phases of this time.(viewable on site pages)
